Ola Jim,
It was good to see you last night (hope nobody recognised us). I was also given a tip off about this young lad called McRodney, and seeing as all my boys are on international duty this week, I thought I would take the oportunity to come and see what all the pundits are raving about, and boy was I not disappointed. I only needed to watch the first 20 minutes to see that this young lad has got it. Finishing was world class. Fernando, Dirk, Crouchy & My little pony would learn so much from playing alongside McRodders. An offer of £3 million plus Stevie G will be going into Oxford City by the end of week.
I also thought I would take a look at this centre midfield player, Chris Fontaine, who has been getting MOM in the papers every week??? It was really difficult to make him out last night, as the lights are not the best at Court Farm, however one of the City supporters told me that his brother is a much better player? There's also a rumour going around that he's off to Clanfield on a Bosman free?
I would also have to agree with you about that Fleet. He shouldn't be getting lobbed every week with the size of his stature. I had a chat with the City Manager (I think his name was Weedy) at the end of the game, and he tells me that he is currently trying to sign on a replacement in a guy called Micky Torres, however he is a little bit worried for his life, when he has to tell Fleety that he is dropped.
As you know Jim, I like to rotate my team from week to week, and I was very impressed with the young manager (stepping in for Weedy), who rotated the subs fantastically, and made the substitions all at the right time, which kept all the players fresh. It just proves the point that rotating the players does work. I thought it was also a nice touch from him to give Weedy 2 minutes at the end.
And finally to that goal at the end by that Mark O' Polo chap. As you say, WHAT A GOAL. That was the best toe punt I have seen for years.
Adios
