Today saw us meet Grove again, the second time in three weeks but in the Quarter final of the League cup this time.
1st Game Oxford City Colts 2 Grove 0
Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Joesph Hastings(Malcolm Blinder 20 mins),Lester Davies,Lochie Craig(Joesph Hastings 26 mins),Leyton Brandon. Sub Malcolm Blinder
This game was full of great effort and hard work from both sides, we scored early on in the first half when the Grove Keeper had to drop the ball as he was near the edge to the box and Leyton Brandon tucked the ball in the goal. Lochie Craig also scored giving a 2-0 advantage at half time, many more chances were created but either side could score.
2nd Game Oxford City Colts 2 Grove 2
Team:Jordan Lawson,Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Cameron Gray,Robbie Morton(James Rule 15 mins),Jamie Smith.Sub James Rule
We fell behind to a well passed and finished goal by Grove but our Players dug in and struck back quickly with two well worked and well taken goals from Jamie Smith giving us an overall 4-1 lead at half time, All the players this morning stuck to the task very well this morning and got to the ball first all over the pitch in all areas,Grove equalised with a Freekick in the second half to give a 2-2 draw in this match but a overall 4-2 win to us.
Two great games for anybody watching.
Overall Scoreline 4-2 win.
