Jools,
You obviously thought it was a push / penalty as Wiggy fell to the ground like something out of Saving Private Ryan?!
Speak to Wiggy & he`ll confirm `gamesmanship` mate (is that a real word?)
Anyway, I would like to share my current feelings with my team mates / buddies in the vets.
Things haven`t been great at home with some major family pressures from extending & renovating our house into a home.
I appreciate that many of you have experienced building extensions over the years and the ones that have will understand where I`m coming from on this.
You can feel frustrated, under pressure, argumentative, moaned at, disillusioned, angry & may often ask yourself `is it really all worth it`?
Hang on a minute...am I thinking straight?...this isn`t how I feel at all...it`s all coming back to me now...this is what Mitch told me in the bar after the game!!!
(Sorry Mitch!)
Well done lads & the Gaffer for best-use of his squad `rotation` policy to get us to the semis.
Regards,
Liam.

: We knew we were in for a hard game this
: evening in terms of Kidlington being the
: best local team around - I think that they
: are top of their league (Premier League that
: we're aiming to get promoted into next
: season) and also current cup holders.
:
: The first ten minutes was amazing in terms
: of the energy, chat and pure intimidation
: aimed as us in terms of chatter by the whole
: Kidlington team. It took me back to being a
: 19 year old and bullied by older London
: players when first starting out. And then
: the first goal was scored by Kidlington it
: was like their plan had worked a treat.
:
: But after the ten minutes was over our
: natural competitive spirit took control, we
: gave as good as we got and as well as that,
: started playing football how we can -
: passing, moving and working the channels
: around the sides.
:
: I think what gives us a good foundation is
: that we have 15 players who are all
: comfortable on the ball, have all played at
: a decent standard, all work really hard for
: each other and are (for our age) relatively
: fit and mobile still. So as the game
: progresses we have the confidence to know
: that we should continue to create chances as
: teams we play against tire. In saying that,
: at 3-2 there was a really strong possibility
: of a Kidlington penalty that wasn't given
: which would have been interesting. However,
: as Garry Parker said in the bar, even if
: they'd got that, they knew and expected us
: to up the level of our game if needed and
: would still have won the match - which is
: fine praise indeed.
:
: Phil Rodney scored four of the goals
: tonight, an own goal and a goal by Julio I
: think - I can't remember to be honest. Mark
: Orlando made his debut and was quality even
: when played completely out of position at
: Centre Half. Just wished that I had lasted
: the whole game, been looking forward to this
: match for weeks...bloody groin.
:
: Well, we're through to the semi-final now so
: see who we have to play, game at home to
: Milton next Wednesday so looking forward to
: that.
:
: Great to see lots of old faces on the
: Kidlington team - this is what the vets is
: all about!
