Posted by Tony Rogers on October 15, 2007, 5:31 pm Once again we managed to get all 15 players on the pitch for at least half a game, well done to all the boys for some excellent football played but a special mention must go to George Kirby for his outstanding committment at the back. Summertown Stars Away await us in Round 3
Congratulations to Oxford City Colts Under 13's for reaching the 3rd Round of the OFA County Cup,playing against what we knew would be a strong Thame side who play in the Wycombe league we got the player's well focussed from the outset and instilled into them that they will only succeed in being a good team if they play as a unit.Within the first 10 minutes City were 2 up with both goals being scored by Liam Palfreeman, the boys played at such a tempo for the first 20 minutes that they took a breather and took there foot of the pedal for a while but managed to contain Thame and go in at half-time 2-0 up. In the second half Thame came out fighting and pulled a goal back but within 10 minutes after some excellent work by Tom Weir,Donald Zui scored our 3rd from close range.
Full Time - Ocford City Colts 3, Thame 1
