Correct me if im wrong but wasnt Thames downfall due to unpaid bills to customs and excise that came around from paying extravagnat wages on the back of the stadium sale and bad management at the top? Fair play to those in charge at the club now though,

: Your point of view is respected, but allow
: others to have theres. I just feel most
: clubs struggle with revenue. The club you
: defend has a fan base most can only dream
: about.
:
: I've more sympathy for the likes of Thame
: United. How quickley they've fallen on hard
: times. They've never had four five hundred
: regular support. If they had, i'm sure
: they'd be Premier southern at least and
: maybe higher?
:
: No gloating going on here but merely
: presenting a fair argument. Correct me if
: i'm wrong, thought that's what message

: Not much of a local football fan then -
: clubs
: will always try their hardest to get the
: best for their clubs, even if, sometimes, in
: the longterm they can't afford it - but some
: have paid a very high price indeed for over
: optimism &/or lack of support..but let's not
: have any more - or parochial views from
: those that just want to gloat - ps you never
: comented on your 'missing' years that many
: of your supporters would have wished have
: never happened.

: i don't have much sympathy for a team who

: silly money to one or two players. There's

: They may well have had the bragging rites as
: the highest placed non-league side in the
: county (before OUFc's demise) but I don't
: really think it is very fair to kick a club
: when they are down. Little in the way of
: budget, a ground by the skin of their teeth
: and you're having a go? I know what it is
: like to lose my local club - not nice at
: all. So if Banbury have to cut their cloth
: to suit their current finacial position so
: be it - better that than to be lost forever!
: Think about it - did you not stop playing
: for a while? wasn't nice was it?

: has

: Nigel, you implying that players with a Hook

: Banbury have shown they mean business next
: season with two impressive signings.
:
: Ben Milner & Lewis Travers
:
: Conference football will be great in the
