Everything we need to know to walk the path directed by our Lord is found in the Word He has given us. What is lacking in "Christendom" today is not a lack of councils or committees or denominations or moral guidelines, etc. What is lacking is each individual believer going directly to the source of all truth and searching the scriptures to get to know Him and understand His will and purposes.
Ephesians 5:17
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
If you seriously want an answer about artificial contraception for example, let's search it out to see what the scriptures tell us.
