Searcher,
I am under the impression that your interpretations of the Protestant Bible (with the dispensations within NT times) do not have a long history. It is my understanding that the history of dispensational belief goes back to (circa) 1830 with a Scottish girl who spoke in tongues, a preacher named John Nelson Darby, and a man named Schofield who wrote a King James reference Bible with a lot of notes that explain this dispensationalism.
I suspect that you have frequented other Christian discussion boards, and have probably received replies similar to mine.
Have you received replies from adherants of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox denominations, where they explained to you the importance of ecumenical councils, church traditions, and the usefulness of reading the writings of church fathers; some of whom had even spoken with the apostles?
If so, what has been your reaction to such posts on other discussion boards? I am not trying to drive you away from this board. I just want to know how you have reacted when people of a traditional Christian persuation have tried to convert you to their denominational teachings.
