Dear Readers,
Now that my daughter has commenced her summer vacation, I have talked her into reading parts of the Bible.
I think one should start with the gospels, and I think it is best to start with Mark. When I took confirmation class as a teenager, ny pastor assigned Mark as the required reading because it is the shortest gospel.
Does anyone agree or disagree with this advice? If so, why?
My daughter has rebelled against my wisdom, so she started reading Matthew on the basis that it is at the beginning of the book I showed her, which is the New Testament plus Psalms and Proverbs (New King James Version).
Does anyone know why the gospels are in the order of Matthew, Mark, Like, and John?
Any answers amd comments would be appreciated.
