Jim made an irrational insult of the orthodox project by implying that there is violent hatred on display at Stand Firm and VOL. There is in fact none. I was simply responding to him in kind by use of a fallacious rationalization, a favorite tool of the left.
The absolute truth be told, although the left does not believe in absolute truth, only absolute power, but none the less truth be told I would assume Jim's arguments with his son were well thought out and not easily refuted.
Having for years treated the left with respect while receiving primarily odium and vitriol in return, I have decided to use the methods of the left on the left, not to convince them of anything, but to silence them and render them into self censored muteness or make them appear as raving lunatics.
I would much prefer reasoned discourse, but what can you do with someone who describes Stand Firm and VOL as full of violent hatred, saying this lie without so much as an anecdote to support it. In the old days I would set out to calmly disprove their obviously absurd statement, but I have gotten sick finely parsed heuristic arguments offered in bad faith. Now I just try to get under their skin and make them appear to be the mind numbed robots of the left they are.
