Jim, Are you saying that the Roman Catholic leaders believe they have the powers of forgiveness of sins, the powers of determining what is sin, determining what is not sin, and what their members are required to do to be granted forgiveness? If so, then doesn't this mean that the Roman Catholic corporate culture is such that they believe their Church saves by much more than the proclamation of religious beliefs for people to believe in (as do many Protestant churches)?
