California's trial court was recently over-ruled by its appellate court. Virginia's almost certainly will be -- relying on a civil war law that was designed to abet succession is a tactical error I think. And yet, regardless of who 'wins' the whole thing is a loss.
Look at Quincy -- you have as high church a bishop as TEC can field, insignificant internal conflict and a drop of about 5,000 ASA during the ordinary's term of office. This in very conservative downstate Illinois. I think I know why. On survey after survey the simple fact of conflict is a major turn off.
I suggested years ago that we set up alternate hierarchies using the historical accident that there are two English primates. One hierarchy aligned to the ABC and the other to the ABY and let the dioceses and even parishes go where they will. It could have been done. We could have agreed to come together at various events and disagree. But it t'aint gonna happen. Alas.
My bike is in the shop -- broken carb cable. I am thinking over what to do, spend a grand fixing it or buy a new ride. In general I really like the Kawasaki line: they try to deliver every possible bang for the buck. They do little things like adjustment wheels on the brake and clutch levers you don't see from other higher priced lines.
Within a line what to buy depends on how you ride. If you are a cruiser rider you cannot go wrong with any of the Vulcans, and surprisingly, Harley makes a couple that are affordable by mortals in their Sportster line.
My current dream is the ConCors 14. It is a sport-touring ride which suits my sort of riding style. If you want a sport bike, I would look for KTM or Kaw's Ninja line. For sheer innovation (ok in bikes a problem in theology
) Buell is amazing.
