The diocesan convention in Quincy has voted to "leave" the Episcopal Church. Any other result would be a shock so this does not exactly fit the "news" category.
I suspect the national church will respond by expelling the various clerics and or congregations that now are in what the Denis canon defines as its property and placing a new interim bishop on the ground.
Because Quincy is so small, ASA has been under 2000 for a while, I wonder if GC'09 will be asked to simply dissolve it into the surrounding diocese.
