Thanks for your insights and information.
You mentioned the laws that encouraged banks to lend money to special minorities, and how this sometimes occurred where the home purchaser had bad credit and/or had good credit but could not afford the large payments.
I view the special protections given to minorities as something associated with feminism.
Should minorities get special protection for many of the same reasons that ugly women need special protection? I admit that pretty women often get favorable treatment because of their looks. A pretty women is more likely to get a higher paying job and a wealthy husband because of her looks; right? Being ugly means a woman has to settle for a lousy husband; right? Also having this wealth through looks improves her credit rating as she gets more money that makes it easier to pay her bills on time. Does this mean that some racial groups are treated as ugly women are treated?
If so, does this imply a connection between feminism and the perceived need for special protection on the basis of being a minority (especially a racial minority)?
