"Do any of you believe there is a connection between women's ordination and the present mortgage crisis? "
I was talking to my banker yesterday and at one point I said that our culture is in a juvenile search for fairness. We were discussing the mortagage crisis. It seems to me that WO is also a juvenile seach for fairness as well.
I am all for fairness, myself. I like to be treated fairly. I have lost everything at one point to a person that did not treat me fairly. I don't like it. But life is not fair and I don't want to go through life trying to find fairnes for myself. On the other hand, as a christian, I am very much interested in fairness for others. I want to be fair even when all else around me is unfairness. This is following Jesus.
I do not think that WO is fair to women or anyone else. I don't think that this "bail-out" is fair to anyone, either. What would be fair is to FIX the systemic problems in government that created the problem.
By the way, I'll let you know if I recieve the sizeable loan that I am requesting. Neither I nor my banker sees a credit crunch.
