What with all the dead flies around the courthouse, I got to thinking...
How many times were flies mentioned on the show?
Here are a few that come to my mind right away.
Of course, the classic "Shoo fly----he's dead!" from "The Pickle Story."
Or, Opie catching a fly during the church service in "Sermon for Today," I believe it is.
And, although I forget the exact episode ("Man in a Hurry" perhaps) when Barney catches a fly on the Taylor's front porch and the releases it saying, "Well, it's Sunday."
I know there are more. Can anyone else think of some more flies in Mayberry?
