Well, friends ... I'm "back."
This past week has been one of the craziest, most up-and-down weeks of my life. Let me give you a brief synopsis of what's happened.
I graduated from college on Wednesday, started work on Thursday, and on Friday I was making flight arrangements home. You see, the president of the college decided to cut one of the promotion groups at the last minute. Since I was the last group leader hired on, I was the first one to go. So, I am job searching...a little sooner than I thought. Currently, I'm in North Carolina. My family is making their way back up to Maine after coming down for my graduation. They might stop off in Washington, DC for a few days. It is still up in the air whether or not I'll be traveling back with them. I've already called my old employer, and he said he would give me a call as soon as something opens up, but right now there's nothing.
It is a little disappointing to not travel this summer, but I know that there is a purpose for everything. I'm looking forward to see what the future holds. I am confident that it is definitely better than anything I had in mind. Also, the fact that I now have so many options open to me makes it exciting.
Many things are very uncertain for me right now. I will keep you all posted as much as possible. So, all that to say, it is very likely that Opie Taylor will be spending more time in "Mayberry" this summer than he previously thought he would.
Setbacks are merely the launching pad that propels one forward.
