Re: Luke, Use the Torque!
For me, it has been one of the hardest things to not take being let down too personally. When you have a picture of the future in mind, people who like you sometimes drop the ball, and people who don't like you sometimes come to the rescue. Where there is vision, there is power, and the energy of creation travels through channels as it is able to find. We all need to be encouraged and tech supported, from time to time, but so often, that is a matter of the energy finding channels that are not tired. I feel hurt and disappointed frequently that this person wasn't true to his word or that person was mean. But, I get the feeling that I have let people down, made them feel insulted, and so forth, without ever meaning to. So, sometimes, creating something means gulping back fear and pride and continually looking for where the energy may find a fresh path toward magical goals. If I beat myself up about disappointing people, I probably would get stuck down a dark pit. I mean, not that we should trust people because we like them, because that really can lead to a lot of trouble. But, the older I get, the more I see that people who were jerks to me were just going on their best information. Real saboteurs are out there, but they are much rarer than I had thought, in my youth. Best of luck with your projects. I think maybe one of the most important things about shamanism is psychic self defense. Clumsy friends and allies can wreak more havoc than enemies, sometimes, and the art of quickly refocusing after a painful brush with the wrong kind of chaos can mean the difference between losing and winning.
