What seems to work much better than targeting a specific person or unwanted influence is to ritually affirm your own need for protection or certain conditions supportive of your own thelema that will foster harmony and prosperity. Once that is established in a conception of integrity, then a pattern of correction is more natural. And, in a foreign land, one has fewer options of provoking disharmony with local spirits or humans. Injuring a local can, as I am sure you understand, generate reprisals from local entities. Real power means being seen as an asset.
