What I have been getting, lately, about such a question is that a mage has to use his nobility skills to avoid making too many enemies. One has to see the web of expectation as it is forming, so as not to be in a position of actually "spurning" anyone. And remember, what crueler witches try to get their coven mates to do, muggles sometimes hire thugs to do. So, when addressing your own fairies, dragons, and deities, assure Them that you are acting in good faith and not trying to deliver harm or unreasonable disappointment against someone you have encouraged. Then, They will guide you to the right protection spells. Helpful, powerful spirits appreciate integrity, as the less august ones value excitement. In the long term, the Harm None motto shows its value, and in magick, as you know, it is necessary to be clear with yourself and your spirits about your real intentions.
Best wishes,
Bob
