So, if you are "next" to the mandate, how come you are NOT on the sell side? The mandate is too greedy? You find the buyer, so the stinking "mandate" can make commission from your efforts? If I were you, I would negotiate a portion of the "sell side" and bring a sense of authenticity to this offer. Brokers requesting to be on the "buy-side" is a sign that we will be dealing with a daisy chain.
