Due to Madman's post, I feel compelled to make it clear where I am coming from. When I say I am unbiased I truly mean it. I have no agenda. If someone makes a claim I don't feel is based on sports logic than I will argue against it. When I see something is obvious I will comment on it. Below is a breakdown of my thoughts to the teams and themes I am most linked to:
1. I only comment on teams the board comments on. No one talks about the Falcons, Chaos, Old School, etc. These players tend to stay off the board. So I don't comment on them. Teams like NJE, Rush, RocBoys, AO and now the Legends (only recently) are on the board and thoroughly discussed, so I comment on those teams.
2. Rush- I have nothing personal against the Rush. They are a good group of guys and KY is a great Captain. The only time I started commenting on the Rush is when Playmaker and Rainmaker anointed them as the #1 team when there were 4 undefeated teams. I didn't agree with that simply because of the schedule they played. It is a fact that as they started playing better teams they were not as dominant. That is
FACT!!! If they beat AO this weekend, I will be the 1st one on the board to give them credit because they would have beaten on of the better teams.
3. RocBoys- They have to be considered the top team. They are the only team to defeat two previously unbeaten teams. They gave up a lot of points to AO and were woefully unprepared for the Rush in the 1st half. But anyone who saw the 2nd half would say that they were the better team. I think they should be playing better than they are and that will weigh heavily on how I pick this weekends game v NJE.
4. AO- I personally don't care for AO all that much. But it is a fact that they played the two top teams the closest. They were within a short TD pass of beating RocBoys and a TD (mistakenly called no catch) and a TD run by AO QB (called back for diving when he was tackled) of tying or beating NJE. So when I say they are a top team, it is based on those games. The proof is in the pudding.
5. AO QB- I personally think he is a HOF TE even though he has only been in the league 3 years. He was in 2 chips. He lost with AO, (in which HE keep A0 in the game to the end) and Won with DR and is the hunt for another. When I heard he was playing QB with those Wr's (and taking himself out as a weapon) I laughed my ass off and said good luck. But you know what, the guy throws TD's he runs for TD's. And if you look at the avg starting field position, his scores are long. He doesn't get defensive turnovers that put him in for short scores. Both his WR's have as many receiving TD's as anyone in the league. So for someone to say he is not a good QB because he doesn't have as good a arm as the top QB's is straight hating!
6. NJE- Personally, I have no love loss for them. I think they are cocky and arrogant but they back it up. Sometimes I believe they post things to promote themselves which I believ is a shame because they are already highly regarded. I have yet to and probably won't pick against them so that says it all. They have some of the best players in the league. They play with poise and are very competitive. I think they have three to 4 HOFers on that team right now.
7. Legends- If you read my early post on them, I expressed that it was criminal for an accomplished team like the Legends to start off the season playing the two top teams. They have since played an easier schedule and have dominated. But for people to say "here come" the Legends based off of there latest run makes no sense. I didn't give Rush credit for there run and I can't give the Legends credit either. That is called consistency. Moreover, unlike AO, they were not competitive v the RocBoys and NJE so to suggest AO is beneath them is ludicrous. Finally, the use of the excuse that they don't have there full squad every time they lose is tired and insulting.
8. I never talk about....And I repeat I NEVER TALK ABOUT DEATHROW unless someone brings that team up. The team is not in Dyckman but people feel they must bring them up anyway. The team won Dyckman and is the 1st team to truly represent Dyckman well OUTSIDE of DYCKMAN. So guys need to get over it. They won last year, they were the best team when it counted and they moved on. Some players are represented in the league on the RocBoys and AO because they decided to make themselves available while the rest of the team decided to stay in 9-man. Their hideous pictures will be down soon enough and no one will have to be reminded of them.
Bottom line, I comment on what's before me. I don't call anyone out or resort to insults when I can't seem to get my point across. I don't highlight players or bring attention to any team. I respond, make picks and give my point of view. If someone disagrees with it I will banter back and forth because that is what people do when they feel they have a strong argument. ALL my arguments are based on facts and NOT how I feel about a particular team. I apologized for this long post but I felt it was necessary to answer Madman who seems overly sensitive to my posts.
