This was such a nondescript week I almost forgot to make my picks. I am disappointed that there was no hype for the Game of The Week NJE v AO. Or at least not like the week before. Maybe both teams are concerned and neither wants to eat crow by Sunday's end. Looking at the schedule there are two games that could present upsets, NJE v AO and Legends v Old School. The rest of the games are very easy. Rush, falcons and RocBoys will all win.
Legends v Eagles - Legends are getting better and the Eagles are much improved. I think the Legends will score enough here for the win but it won't be easy.
NJE v AO - Playmaker's analysis of this game is correct. Once again QB play will be big here. The new NJE QB presents an element Farber doesn't, he can move. And he will have to because AO's DL will be coming hard. NJE's BEAST OL from NEBRASKA will be tested this week for sure. Will the pressure force NJE's QB into mistakes? NJE's strength on D is its DB's as Playmaker said. Once they stop getting pressure they may even drop a DL in coverage (which I am not sure is legal). If this is the case, AO OB will have time but will have to be patient and read coverages.
Another key here is AO's DB's being able to cover NJE's WR. If the pressure is there it will make life easier. An added problem is the LB's having to worry about NJE #6. He may be the biggest key. If he gets off, its a wrap. The Wr's will be that much harder to cover if he gets running wild.
My feeling here is AO will score on NJE's D but not enough to win. If NJE had their usually Swag coming into this week I would have picked them going away but something in their silence tells me even they aren't sure. NJE by a score.
