My great grandfather is listed in the 1880 US Census as living in Crystal Springs, Ms and that he was a telegraph operator. I just assumed he probably worked for the rr. Someone there told me they believed the I C R serviced that city in 1880. I'm looking for someone who might have records of the telegraph office that might tell me something of my great grandfather. I'm making progress with him. Six months ago I didn't even know his name. Anyway if anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
