At the time that you asked me to get another game there were none available to be had locally. That was in March. In order for us to have had a game we would have had to travel again, out west or down south. To do that again after the team had just come back from Florida would probably have been impossible to do. We might have had 10-15 guys that could do it. Florida was hard enough as it was to get going.
In late May and June we were offered a couple of preseason games with a couple of teams. I brought the offers to the coaches and it was a coaching decision to decline a full game format and only do scrimmages which brought about our scrimmage against The Generals. The reasons the coaches gave for not doing a game format were valid at the time.
