We are actually 7-1 nationally with the win over Kentucky counting toward this not 6-1 as these standings reflect. As you can see there are some teams with a higher win/loss ratio that are lower in the standings than other teams. I can never understand how that is but Coach Bolster explained that it has something to do with strength of schedule in any particular league. Bearcats are listed at 10-0. They disposed of some garbage teams in the preseason which boosted their national ranking. That is one of the reasons that it is important to get some preseason games in if a team plans on entering into a national tournament in the post season for seeding and home field purposes. Nonetheless, we are still in a good position on the national scene for tournament purposes.
Right now we have to focus on the goal at hand within The NEFL. Let's keep it rolling. Right now we control our own destiny. Next weeks practice and game week is huge. If we win out then we have home field throughout the playoffs.
