I know why the league stepped in, and I also know that there are tons of players who leave teams every year for various reasons. It is absolutely a control thing. I am certain that if you ask most of those players, they feel they don't owe their old teams anything. Players leave teams, and teams get upset. Besides these are not regular season games, they are exhibitions. When teams in our league want to scrimmage us, then I will feel differently, until then I feel like the league is going to tell us we cant scrimmage any team that has former NEFL players on it that left against their previous teams wishes... BS and I think we all know it.
