Noticing same E teams signing up to play E again...? Guess no D ball in N.C. Why no mandatory bumps from state director ?

The question should be ... Did you go to Florida this year? Many of the teams that play in the USSSA "E" Worlds in Florida are not "E" teams at all. In fact, the team that won it this year was 6-1 in a C tournament that same year in their state. Several NC teams had a decent showing in Florida, but no team did awesome. I'm not saying that some "E" teams in NC are not capable of playing "D" but when you have to go and play C teams at the "E" worlds there is no reason to move up. Until all states move more competitive teams up to higher divisions this same thing will continue. Sorry, but thats just the way it is.

if E teams played up locally it would help them at worlds.

Could they ease up on the HR rules for tournaments that aren't State/NIT/National rules? Last year was my first year playing U-trip and I ended up playing with a few different Rec teams since most of the other divisions have set teams and it's ridiculous how many guys down in Rec are smacking the ball out. Then our team played in the E state tournament and you've got guys out there taking barely legal half swings placing the ball where they want. It just seems pretty crappy that so many teams play down because they want to do well for one tournament at Disney. Oh well. It is what it is. Whatever the case, I have a blast out there each weekend. Just wish more teams would play in a division more suitable for their power.
