I would love to change out the engine and transmission from my 85 535i into my 78 530i, but I live in an apartment and have no garage. How much should I expect to pay to have a mechanic do this? The m30 engine in the e28 has almost 200,000 miles and has been well cared for...can I expect much more out of it?
