There is available an adjustable voltage regulator for these alternators. You can adjust the voltage upward to 16v. The Volvo crowd sells these units--works great.

I would say that a good flush of your fuel system is in order, new filters---fluids, in fact, for the whole car. There is a known issue with the ignition switch killing the battery. I would suggest loosing the toggle switch, put everything back to a factory spec and then take off the Neg cable, jump a test light between it and the body and then pull fuses until you determine what is pulling a charge. At least you will have an idea as to what is doing what, narrowing it down, so to speak. Sometimes it can be as simple as a stuck trunk light or a clove box light :o)
