I have the OEM design in the car and find it suitable. The problem is not so much the fuses as it is the items they control. The main problem is the auxillary fan up front. This draws current through two relays, one for low speed and one for high speed. Seems that over the years, the fan's motor starts drawing more and more current. It will heat up and burn either way, so if you go through all the trouble converting your box for blade type fuses, you will be back to where you started. Check your amp draw and see what you come up with. This is a good starting point.
