The best grind for your motor is in your motor right now. If you alter the engine, then it is time to think about camshafts. If your motor is stock and you just want some crisp low end performance, advance the cam (you will need an adjustable cam sprocket to do this). The best performance grinds that I know of for BMW engines are the Shcrick grinds. Shrick can also custom make a special camshaft to your specs, but this is quite expensive.
