I would recommend a full rebuild...that is, if you go into the motor, go all the way and do it right. Parts are very resonable. Depending on how much you want to spend, a stroked motor or whatever, this will dictate what you must do. On the other hand, if you want to keep the motor stock, as you implied, then this will be a very strong motor, still with a full rebuild. So it all depends on what you want from the engine. Either way, replace all the rod bearings, crank bearings, bolts, gaskets, have a machine shop check the crank and line bore, deck, ect. If you keep the motor stock with that head, this will give you a good boost in torque and power. Most of the power is from the head anyway, so this is a good option for your build-up (stock bottom end with MM head).
