Posted by Zane It all depends on what you want to do. I think 400hp is realistic with NOS. Chris got this and then ran 12's on a stock motor with high miles. The car is dependable and never misses a beat. He eats Supras and turbo Hondas for lunch. He runs the crap out of it and I can vouch for the dependablity of the setup.

Turbochargers on the other hand are another story altogether. It is a long, complex project which takes time, money and know how. There are many out there who slap turbos on these motors, get some ridiculous power and then you never see or hear about the car again; because it is a bomb and has already blown to bits!
The most important thing, in your case, is to know what you want and then go after that, no matter what.
The M90 block is a SIAMESED BLOCK. BMW used this block on some of their high output turbo cars, including the M1. Your block will do just fine for the power level you seek.
