My 79 528i refuses to shift. I left the house as normal. At the first stop I started out a little hotter than normal( car bearing down on me from behind)and when shifting to second(briskly)
It refused to shift to second. a small amount of grinding as I tried to force the issue, but no go.I pulled the car over, played with the shifter
thinking I bound things up trying to shift too fast.Put the car in first gear, put the clutch in and started the motor...it started in gear!
Help! master cylinder? slave cylinder? I still have some resistance in the clutch pedal
it does not stay on the floor or anything. With the motor off the clutch feels normal. please help! Dusty, shiftless in Oregon
