Reading the local newspaper on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 was an article from Los Angeles by David Germain of the Associated Press titled, "100 Films that don't let up for 1 minute". The 100 most heart-pounding U.S. movies, with years they were made, as chosen for the American Film Institute by a group of 1,800 actors, directors, studio executives, critics and others in Hollywood. At #89 on the list is "The Guns of Navarone, 1961."
