Posted by Tung Yin My wife and I spent some time thinking about casting, and while no one jumped to mind to play villain Peter Branson, I think that Robert Patrick (the liquid metal robot in "T2" or Agent Doggett in "The X-Files") would be perfect as Paul Revson. I agree with the common view that MacLean's best books pre-date "The Way to Dusty Death" (and in particular, I think his output in the 1960s was tremendous), but I've always liked "The Golden Gate" (1976) and thought it could be a decent movie. I realize that the track record of movies made from MacLean novels is mixed at best, but a good screenwriter who sticks to the novel could do a lot with it.
