In the late 1970's, Alastair MacLean visited my school to give a talk to the school assembly. It was very exciting. However, a few weeks later the headmaster made a comment in assembly that alluded to the possibility that the man who gave the talk was a professional imposter...Could this be true? Does anyone know whether someone was travelling in England impersonating MacLean during the seventies? Many thanks for any replies. Charlie
