I am collecting the MacLean books with the what I call "action-adventure" covers put out by Fontana books in the UK in the early 1970s / early 1980s. They strongly resemble adventure film posters of the time with the rugged hero usually prominant, and scenes from the story in the background. Done in a graphic style.
I was wonderfing if anyone knew if HMS Ulysses (1955), The Dark Crusader (1961), or any of the books post Circus (1975) had covers in this range. I have all of the books from 1955-75 with this range of covers bar those mentioned.
