The last names are apparently spelled (or rather capitalized) slightly differently but one has to wonder, as Fitzroy's incomparable war memoir "Eastern Approaches" has been called by more than one observer the "inspiration" for Alistair's "The Guns of Navarone." If the two were not related, did they in any case know each other, and perhaps collaborate? Thanks for your help,
