Where Eagles Dare was the first Maclean book i ever read. i only read it, becasue one of my favourite bands. Iron Maiden, created a song based on this book. Beware- the album version is different from the live version. (However, they are both excelltent). i was talking to my father and he told me that Maclean was his favourite author, so i am now trying other boods, even though i usually do not like action/adventure/thriller books. (i usually prefer horror stories).
