It's a shame that bce has no plans to reactivate or reuse 15350kHz SW at Junglinster Luxembourg Europe. It just stands there as a silent museum WHY? I would re-engineer it by fitting a 360deg omnidirectional beam antenna,up the power to 100kW, then do some tests in DRM 24:7 using 25080 kbits/sec,AAC+ coding and full SBR with parametric stereo putting out old 208 jingles and english language announcements plus old archive programmes interspersed with 60's,70's,80's and 90's and today pop/rock and invite listeners across Europe to tune in and send in reception reports which would be verified by QSLcards. When things become successful and the number of DRM sets in the marketplace has increased I would do a BIG relaunch of the english service on air with a live outside roadshow, party and evening fireworks display! Reinstating this outlet for a comeback of the english service would save RTL/clt/bce a lot of money and would save them having to look for a new transmitter site and frequency by using existing infrastructure for not a lot more cost.
