Also it's hardly surprising they weren't making money;they never carried any ads to make some revenue! Had I been given the chance to relaunch it, I would have made it pan-european from the start with a decent tx erp power of a least 50kW or more on an omnindirectional 360deg beam on a good stable DRM-SW frequency and revived the old format of pop rock entertainment and great competitions and got as many of the old staff back as exists. Advertisements would be in many european languages as well as english and rates would be reasonable for those. I would also look into getting on the Astra(Sky)Satellite position at 28.2degE on the SkyEPG using the south beam to get much of Europe as well. Now that would have helped revive fortunes and got it back to what it was;a brilliant fun-loving Luxy with a large European audience!
