Posted by Mike Knight Without those sets available in huge numbers, purchased, and in turn used, there is little chance that any kind of sellable audience figures can ever be achieved. The Internet service is nice - but will always provide limited audience figures - plus I think I am correct to say - that the more people who listen and take up the stream - the lower the audio quality might be. I would appreciate anyone with greater streaming knowledge putting me right on that score. I wish them luck - I believe that DRM will be a part of our listening habit in years to come - and that is the heart of the matter "In years to come". I am beginning to get the feeling that they might have inadvertantly put the cart well before the horse was ready to pull it, and through no fault of their own, because the promised sets (especially from Roberts) appear to be on a delivery schedule which keeps getting further away - over a year ago the sets were supposed to be imminent. When I can walk into Dixons or Curry's or Comet in the UK, and the staff know what DRM is, and can demo a DRM set to me, and I can actually buy the device, I will be one happy bunny. I would imagine that a few bottles of the sparkly stuff would be opened by the team at RL when that happens - if they can survive that long......

I can only imagine the frustration that the team at RL are feeling because of the greatly delayed appearance of any appreciable quantities of DRM sets in the marketplace.
