Hello,
I was referred an adult (don't worry medicare/medicaid/insurance isn't paying... services are included if he needs them in this all-inclusive rate for his stay here) for a speech impediment. I haven't met him yet, however I was told that he speaks very little English. I asked if he has an accent or an actual speech impediment and all sources say pretty clearly it's a speech impediment. However, he doesn't speak English. I can have an interpreter during the eval. However, I don't even know where to start or what to do. Thoughts? I don't have an assessment and I don't speak any Spanish. Thoughts?!
