Could you stay with your school district but move buildings? It sounds like working with the severity level you work with is getting to you. Could you move to a school where you work with a different age group or maybe somewhere that you could work with less involved students? I know where I work we have specific schools that have classrooms for our more involved students. Could you speak with your SLP coordinator or special education director and explain that you need a change in assignment? Just a thought.
