Thank you for all of your comments. I copied Mary S;s and will keep it under my keyboard. It is very true.
My district is far above average. I have a nice office, parents that care, and a PTA that is tireless. What I seem to lack is the emotional attitude that would let me see the positives as adequate reward for what I do, but instead I internalize how that I cannot do due to the severity of the disorder. Then I feel like I am just spinning my wheels, even stalled. I intellectually realize autism is a lifelong disability but can't accept it. I want it to get better...i want it to decline in frequency.
