I'm sorry I did not recognize how deeply you feel. I've done this for a long time and can tell you this.....you are 1 person. You have limitations, you have fatigue, you have good days and you have bad days. You have excellent resources, you fly
by the seat of your pants, you want to hug kids and you want to bop them. You are a parent's new best friend and you are sometimes seen as their enemy. You are part of a profession that is intimate and ever changing with your students. You celebrate the slightest triumph that goes unseen by others
and defend their challenges that are seen by all. Through it all
you must remember you are still only 1 person. You cannot house your grief for there are many more children to come your way. You are a great gift to these kids-even on your worst day. You understand them, you gaze upon them, you honor them.....you love them. Look at your successes for even failure provides a learning curve. You empower these kids.
