We've all been hearing a lot about ABA therapy lately...what it is and the role/success it's having in programs for students with autism.
I haven't really done much more with ABA than become familiar with what it is. Our school has not historically used ABA at all. Recently, however, we are admitting students with much more significant degrees of all kinds of disabilities, especially ASD. (I'm sure, of course, that this is because our teachers are well-experienced in working with this type of student and it is in the best interest of the student to be placed in that classroom, not because sending students out of district or training teachers in ABA is so expensive).
Anyway, I was wondering what kind of experience you all have had with ABA, if you like it, if it's been effective in your school/therapy program and if it helps you "on the side" (summer employment, per-diem opportunities, etc) if you aren't currently using it in your school setting.
Just curious :)
