This week I started my first SLP job, in a school district. I'll be working with grades k-2, and 5th. The few days of work this week involved getting my office ready, and when I go in on Tuesday I'm ready to start scheduling. So far I have the specials schedule for each building I will be in.
Any tips on how to get started?
Have a method that works well for you?
Do you contact teachers and ask for good/bad times or start by giving them a few options?
I did a small amount of scheduling in my school internship and that was hard enough, so the thought of fitting almost 60 kiddos into a schedule is really daunting!
Thanks for any advice!
