Ditto, Public School Parolee! If I could do it all over again, I'd go into Fashion and Design! This profession and all its administration responsibilities have evolved into an unmanageable machine. I've come to the point where I disregard timelines altogether. My thinking is, "If I'm outta compliance, so be it. What are they going to do? Find another therapist?" The one good thing about working in the public schools and being in a union is that it's next to impossible to fire someone even if they're ridiculously incompetent (and those working in the public schools know what I'm talking about!). Working in the schools is all about survival; you try your best to serve the students adequately ("band-aid therapy") while pacifying those in figure head positions by billing MAA and doing other things your college professors told you nothing about. I'm far away from retirement. Weekends have to do for now.
